Carrie Wales

MSN, APRN-NP, FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner
Carrie is a certified Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner who has worked in nursing since 2002, bringing her strong nursing background into caring for her patients in a holistic manner. She spent many years of her nursing career caring for very ill neonates, children, and adolescents as a certified pediatric nurse. The experience of caring for children and their families during their most vulnerable times made her appreciate the importance of communication, continuity, and compassion in the healthcare setting.

Carrie earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2002 at the University of Northern Colorado. She was born and raised in Colorado and always had a love for traveling and seeking new experiences. She harnessed this passion by becoming a traveling nurse in her early nursing career. She has worked at many prestigious healthcare facilities across Colorado and along the West Coast. After her family relocated from San Diego to Lincoln in 2014, she worked on the Women and Children’s Unit at Bryan Health and was an adjunct nursing faculty member at the Lincoln campus of Purdue University Global. She completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing through Purdue University Global and was board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020.

Carrie lives in Lincoln with her husband and two boys and loves having adventures with her family. Her sons’ many interests in various activities and athletics keep her busy, and in her spare time she likes to practice yoga, golf, garden, read, or cook.
